I’d been seeing billboards for Really Good Fresh Jerky along I-10, and although I didn’t really need a stop at that point in the trip, how could I resist? For some reason I was thinking it would be a bit more funky, have some of that roadside attraction character going on, but not so much. The store was quite plain and spare. (Nice clean bathrooms though.) I didn’t ask how long they’d been there, maybe they are still working on the ambiance.
I’m not sure how different jerky can be, but they sure had a lot of different types! Both different flavors and different meats.
Beside the jerky there were also about a billion different types of hot sauce from all over and various bulk package snacky foods.
And honey!!
So of course I had to get some of that too.
