Tomorrow, May 12 at the Bay Model in Sausalito, CA – Tales of Adventure! A chance to hear stories from local long distance cyclist Clay Stark.
Cool paintings using stamps as a jumping off point.
Maps! On May 24, 2018, the David Rumsey Map Center at Stanford will host a talk by data storyteller and creator of Info We Trust, R.J. Andrews. The talk will be a “design critique to the thematic maps of French mapping pioneer Charles Joseph Minard. Minard is most famous for his Napoleonic Russian campaign map, but his catalog is deep. Elements and flourishes will be highlighted across Minard’s work that are still relevant to how we understand our world today.”
By way of the International Printing Museum I found out about the Itinerant Printer, who took an awesome print shop road trip and is now turning the stories into a book!
Speaking of printing! North Bay Letterpress Arts has a juicy calendar of classes. Come make something in Sebastopol!
