twenty

Fascinating how the line length is not only a physical constraint but also shapes how I think and write. Last week was a long line, which seemed a bit daunting at first, but then I got going and whooshallofasudden ohhey I’m at the end already. Usually I pick the line length first, but this one was already going in my head so I knew I didn’t need much – went with 10-pica, and even that had room to spare. and isn’t THAT interesting, how spare can mean additional or extra, butalso can mean no excess or lean.
