something I think I’d like to know, #223

We all have quirks. (Thinking or saying you don’t is its own special one.) Why are some endearing or at least tolerable, and some irritating? And how does that sometimes change – what once was tolerable becomes irritating or irritating becomes endearing? Or something can be tolerable from one person but not another.

which, yes, I realize that my issue(s) with someone else’s quirks are just that – MY issue(s) – and sometimes I do try to unpack that. which can, of course, make something more tolerable. on the other hand, not everything is explicable, it’s a big world out there, and I’m not going to understand or like it all.
