In a week-long vacation, with most of it out riding my bike around in the dirt, I still managed to find a homemade gelato place, homemade ice cream (and almond toffee), and yes, I admit it, Dairy Queen. Vanilla with the Chocolate Dip, thank you very much. Although apparently they have other (not correct) choices for the dip now these days as well.
Then, on my way home, what’s in the American Way in-flight magazine but … Cream of the Crop! The picture is Salted Crack Caramel, from Ample Hills Creamery in Brooklyn, New York. Just about made me get on another plane headed the other direction! They also mentioned Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, what else do I need to do in Columbus, Ohio? The third was Phoenix and Scottsdale’s Sweet Republic, WHICH! had a kiosk in the Phoenix airport! Woot!
Everything looked good, but I was feeling pretty basic, so went with Madagascar Vanilla and Peaberry Espresso. Yum!!! Both super creamy and very tasty.
