Traslado y Rehabilitación de Locomotoras: Taller de Restauración

Relocation and Rehabilitation of Locomotives: Restoration Workshop

Woohoo! Trains! I had caught a glimpse of this, going past in a taxi on one of the previous days, then we ended up with a bit of free time to walk around before lunch in Chinatown, and, in one of those connect-the-dots with/on the map, this turned out to be right between there and the Capitol. Go figure. Seemed like sort of an odd location, but who am I to say. It was a weekday, but there didn’t seem to be anybody around, maybe because it was lunch time. I’m not sure even if there had been workers there if I could have gotten in and looked at things more closely. It wasn’t clear to me whether it was restoration to be used again or restoration for display. I did see railroad tracks when we traveled out in to the countryside, but did not see any trains. Anyway, it was cool to get a little closer to these locomotives and look at them a bit more than I’d seen from the taxi.
