I went in to Copperfield’s on a mission. To get a card. Just the card. Wasn’t going to look at any books. But then well I was there and I’ll just peek in the poetry section … and yes you can see where this is headed. I did get the card I was after, I also got a copy of the most wonderful fantastic delightful Emily Dickinson The Gorgeous Nothings.
Full scale reproductions, very nicely done, of her envelope writings. Showing the original, sometimes both sides, and a transcription of the words, in the same shape as the Dickinson piece. Such a treat to see the work, as it was when she wrote it. Really amazing to see her handwriting and how she shapes the poems to the shape of the piece of paper. yum, yum, YUM!
