The road side stop – gas station, restaurant, trinket shop and Famous Pies! Just of Highway 17 between Phoenix and Flag(staff), Rock Springs Cafe sounds like it gets pretty busy at peak travel times. We were there on a weekday in spring, so, while we didn’t have the place to ourselves, it was by no means crowded.
We rolled up on our bikes on the frontage road. Yep, after a day in the saddle Time for Pie indeed!
Billboard lures car travellers off the interstate.
The cream pie tops were actually a bit disturbingly symetric.
Never considered having pie sent to me.
Oh so many choices. I actually (can you believe it?) wasn’t super in the mood for pie, but they’re world famous and who knows when I’d be back there again. Forget now what I initially decided on, but it was just out of the oven and too hot to cut.
