Oregon Coast Historical Railway

A locomotive?! I was not really expecting to see that, but how could I NOT stop? The Oregon Coast Historical Railway in Coos Bay was right on my way, and provided a pleasant stop. There’s a nice little museum with helpful, informative volunteers.

And there were some folks working on some of the equipment in the yard.

AND a couple of sweet cabooses! Wait, what is the plural of caboose? caboose/caboose? like moose? or cabooses? or caboose/cabeese? like geese? Or perhaps there’s a collective noun for them.

Either way, they were painted up really nicely, and you could go inside them. I would LOVE to have one. I’m not quite sure where I’d put it, but it would be so super cool awesome! For the moment I just enjoyed the visit.
