Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe

In looking through Portland food guide books I also noticed entries for candy and CHOCOLATE! I’d actually seen the Moonstruck chocolate bars in stores, then it turns out that they also have a few of their own locations of super amazing chocolateness. They call them Chocolate Cafes.

AND!!! (file under Meant To Be) one of these bits of heaven on earth was on the SAME STREET just across from the parking garage I’d ended up in.

It was about the size of a large walk-in closet, but you know what they say about good things coming in small packages….

It was really pretty overwhelming. So much to choose from – just reading the flavors about gave me vapor lock, but then looking at everything was additional sensory overload. Beautiful beautiful beautiful! The art and craft and care that went into each piece was absolutely stunning. Some were just over the top wow really? chocolate can do that?! And of course it smelled lovely.

A couple other people came in at various times during the course of me trying to pick out the pieces to fill a box. They seemed to know what they wanted so I told them to just go ahead since I’d be a while.

The honey vanilla caramel I had tasted even better than it looked. Fantastic! If you ever get the chance, you must go and have some of these chocolates.
