Fennel Ice Cream

Ended up with some fennel that I wasn’t sure what do with. Hmn… what do I do with things these days? Make ice cream! I used the Basil Ice Cream recipe from The Perfect Scoop, but with fennel instead. From the mix I thought it might be a bit too much, but once it was frozen it was pretty subtle. I’m not sure I would have know what the main flavor ingredient was if I hadn’t made it myself, and was debating having other folks try it without telling them what is was to see if they could guess.
